The focus on beetles is not to downplay other members of the phylum Arthropoda but to provide a spotlight on an overwhelmingly large pool of species. Beetles alone have around 400,000 species.
Hi! My Name is Eric Hyun Sim
I am a rising senior (‘27) at The Taft School in Watertown, CT. I was born in South Korea and have been a boarding school student in the United States since 2021. I expect to major in Bioengineering, Biomaterial Engineering, or Entomology. Outside of academics, I invest my time and interests in basketball, American football, photography, music, sneakers, and video editing. I do not yet know where the next chapter of my life will take me, but I have high hopes and a dedication to match them!
